Complete 3 Day Lactation Training, as low as $650

Congratulations on your decision to invest in lactation education. The 24 didactic hour FLE course fulfills the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI), US Core Competencies, doula breastfeeding education requirements, WIC Peer Counselor training, and awards 24 L-Cerps from IBLCE. I also include a one year Membership to LU ($75 value). Membership allows you to attend the annual conference FREE. You also receive a FREE membership profile page.
The FLE training is the prerequisite to complete certification in Lactation University's Foundations of Lactation Education,
​Additional coursework and investment required for certification. 
Lactation University's FLE®s secure employment teaching breastfeeding classes in hospitals, clinics, community programs and private settings. Many find employment as WIC peer counselors. They can also facilitate breastfeeding  and support groups or work as breast pump rental technicians and in breastfeeding supply stores. The opportunities are endless! Many professionals use this certification to round out their NCS or labor and postpartum doula services to ensure they are providing the highest quality services for breastfeeding support. Many FLEs use this certificate as a stepping stone to achieve the IBCLC Certification.
Please complete all 3 steps. Students must (1) Register, (2) Submit Payment and (3) Download the homework. You will receive a notification that your information has been received and within a week of the training, you will receive the welcome email with specific details and log on information for the training. Course Investment:
After completing Step 1, the link will take you to the payment selection. You will have several options for payment.
Early Bird Rate (at least 3 weeks in advance): $650, Regular Rate: $675, Alumni Rate: (second training with Christy Jo): $595.
Students have the option of paying a deposit of $355 to guarantee your spot and paying the balance of $320 a week prior to the training ($675 total). Limited Military and BIPOC Scholarships available ($620).

STEP 1- Registration

Please do not begin the registration process until you are ready to make payment. You MUST complete the registration form below before submitting payment for your training. ​

    You are registering for the Certified Lactation Educator (​CLE) Training

    ​Carefully read the following statements and signify that you agree to the terms listed by marking the box prior to paying for your training.
    • I understand that I will need to complete a few homework assignments prior to the workshop.
    • I understand that I should not make non-refundable travel reservations until Birthing, Bonding & Breastfeeding has confirmed the workshop 20 days prior to the course.
    • I understand that I may not record the training workshop (audio or video). I may take photographs only with the express permission of the trainer and the participants.
    • I understand that this course is NOT an IBCLC exam prep course nor does attendance at this course, or certification as a FLE qualify a professional to perform lactation evaluation, assessment, or diagnosis of lactation related conditions.
    • I understand that the three day training alone fulfills BFHI, Peer Counseling Training and the Core Competencies, but in order to become Certified in Foundations of Lactation Education I must enroll in the online Lactation University course and satisfactorily complete all assignments.
    • As a participant of this training, I agree to allow Birthing, Bonding & Breastfeeding/Lactation University to do the following: ·
      • Collect my name, address, phone number, and email address for the trainee class list and referral list. ·
      • Take photographs of the training which may include me, as well as allow the trainer and LU to use these photographs for promotional purposes online and in print. ·
      • Use quotes from my training evaluations (which I may fill out anonymously) for promotional purposes online and in print..
    • ​I understand LU or LU Faculty does not assume liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items one may come into contact with while eating at any LU Event, Training or Activity you may attend--whether inside or outside of LU planned events and activities.

    ​Details of Refund Policy:

    I understand that there are no refunds for classes but I can transfer to another course with Birthing, Bonding & Breastfeeding within 12 months of the original course date with approval from Birthing, Bonding & Breastfeeding. There is a $50 transfer fee applied. Non-refundable travel reservations should not be made until Christy Jo has confirmed the class (usually at least three weeks prior to the class start date). If the class is cancelled by Christy Jo, attendees have the option of receiving a full refund or transferring to another Training with Christy Jo. Certificate of training completion is given only if the entire training is attended, the Pre-Workshop Study Guide is completed, and training fees are paid in full.
