Breastfeeding is known as the "Gold Standard" because it is the way babies were meant to be fed. The species-specific milk humans give to their infants give the immunological-specific antibodies that babies need. If infants do not get the unique antibodies and ingredients found only in human milk, they are at a higher risk of contracting certain illnesses and diseases. Give your baby the best protection and nutrition available. It is a special food only you can provide. If you find it necessary or desirable to supplement, an IBCLC can help you determine and the best way to supplement. We hope to support you on your feeding journey.
