Greetings Future Lactation Educators! Please read the entire email. Important log-in information included.
Thank you for registering for the upcoming CLE Course. I’m so grateful that you have made this investment in your education and professional development. This course will enable you to serve your community by assisting families in this important public health issue. Please read this entire email. We are anticipating a fabulous training and want you to be prepared for the event.
The CLE Training is packed with breastfeeding updates, interaction and evidence-based information. Everyone attending will receive a Certificate of Attendance along with 21.25 L-Cerps from IBLCE. RDs, Maintain a copy of the agenda and certificate of attendance for CPEs for your Professional Development Portfolio. You must be present the entire day, every day, to earn your Certificate and receive credits for the course.
To prepare for the training, please complete the requirements in the Checklist and secure a doll to have with you during the training.
Checklist for the CLE Training:
Complete the attached Pre-Training Assignment prior to the first day of class (You will turn them in on the last day)

Our days will be packed with a variety of learning experiences and multi-media presentations. You can log into the ZOOM room 10 minutes prior to start time. There will be a short morning and afternoon break in addition to a lunch break.
Make sure to complete the Pre-training Study Guide which gives a good overview of lactation and the CLE Scope. It is open book, open internet, etc. Please be brief. You can condense long explanations or "cut and paste" the answers into the document. If you have any difficulty with a question, don’t worry, we cover most of the answers during the training and I do not collect the Study Guide until the final day of the training. Everyone who is present the entire day on all three days will be emailed a Certificate of Attendance which documents the 21.25 L-Cerps and completes the requirements for BFHI and Peer Counseling or Lactation Education hours. Individuals who desire to continue on to certify as a Certified Lactation Educator can pay the membership and CAPPA Academy fees separately. This option is not mandatory and only applies to those seeking the CLE designation.
